In scientific studies, this formula has shown an effect on both hormone dependent and hormone insensitive prostate cells. At higher dosages, ProstaCaid™ provides the foundation for a comprehensive holistic program for actively promoting prostate health. At lower dosages, ProstaCaid™ is appropriate for maintaining long term prostate health.*

ProstaCaid™ is a 33 ingredient comprehensive poly-herbal and nutrient preparation containing key ingredients proven in scientific studies to be effective in supporting prostate health. The ingredients in ProstaCaid™ have demonstrated cellular effects and support hormonal modulation through alpha-reductase inhibition, which decreases levels of DHT, a biologically active metabolite of the hormone testosterone, in the prostate. They also support aromatase inhibition, which slow formation of potent estrogens and help lower the ratio of estrogen to testosterone in the body.*

ProstaCaid™ contains herbal extracts and ingredients including turmeric root, saw palmetto berry, grape skin, pomegranate, pumpkin seed, pygeum bark, sarsaparilla root, green tea, Japanese knotweed, broccoli, and stinging nettle. Broccoli extract and herbal ingredients support liver detoxification, and promote excretion of both endogenous estrogens and xenoestrogens (potent estrogen-like compounds which are of special concern in prostate health). Green tea extract has shown to promote healthy cell differentiation. BCM 95® is a bio-enhanced form of turmeric root shown to be more bioavailable, as curcumin from non-enhanced turmeric root is poorly absorbed in humans.*

ProstaCaid™ is enriched in anti-oxidants like vitamins C, vitamin D3, selenium, and natural polyphenols including quercetin, resveratrol, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), and ellagic acid. The antioxidant action of resveratrol helps to prevent damage to DNA, influences the transcriptions of genes responsible for redox metabolism, and inhibits proliferation of aberrant cells. It also appears to inhibit the enzyme cyclooxygenase-1, which converts arachidonic acid to substances that promote aberrant cell colony formation. Vitamin D3 has been shown to promote healthy cell differentiation. Ellagic acid has demonstrated cellular protection.*

ProstaCaid™ includes nutrients such as zinc, quercitin, lycopene and 3,3’- diinodolymethane (DIM). DIM has been shown to inhibit aberrant cell proliferation and induce their apoptosis, to work synergistically to enhance the effect of taxotere-induced cell death in hormone independent prostate aberrant cells through down-regulation (an apoptosis inhibitor associated with both progression and drug resistance), and to inhibits angiogenesis and invasiveness of unhealthy prostate cells.*

ProstaCaid™ contains three beneficial mushrooms cultivated indoors in a controlled environment, by USDA Certified Organic growers, on herbally enhanced organic brown rice. These mushroom are Phellinus linteus, Ganoderma lucidium, and Coriolus versicolor.
